Windsor Great Park Sparkling white NV
Windsor Great Park Sparkling white NV
The Windsor Great Park Vineyard's quintessential English sparkling wine. It is a classic 'royal' distinction that celebrates the rebirth of Windsor Castle's ancient English vineyard - first planted in the reign of Henry II (1154-1189). The holy trinity of Chardonnay , Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier vines have been planted in an ideal location: a warm, sheltered, south facing slope where the grapes can gently ripen.
The bright, pretty, extremely elegant sparkling wine has been made by the renowned 'methode traditionnelle'- a long established process of excellence first presented by Englishman Sir Christopher Merret to The Royal Society in 1662. That's 20 years before the infamous French monk 'Dom Perignon' made his name across the Channel. A 'royal' first from the grandest chateau of them all - the oldest and largest inhabited castle in the world.
