Sharpham Beenleigh Reserve

An interesting take on an english red wine. Strong overripe cherries and sour plum through nose with hints of the grape blend used. The palate has more structure and the red and black berries zing through with low tannins and a medium finish. It's harmonious firm structure is balanced with good acidity.

This dry left bank Bordeaux style red is truly a rare English wine. The Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes are grown under poly tunnels since the 1970's at Sharpham's sister vineyard Beenleigh Manor. An interesting style of red which has surprising body for an English wine. 

Blend: 75% Cabernet Sauvignon - 25% Merlot

Suitable for Vegetarians and Vegans.

Alcohol 13% 

Serve with : cheese, poultry, turbot and red meats.
