London CRU Blanc de Blanc Sparkling white 2020
London CRU Blanc de Blanc Sparkling white 2020
A Traditional Method English Sparkling Wine, made from 100% Pinot Meunier grapes grown in Canterbury.
In LDN CRU's own words:
'Made in the same method as Champagne, English Sparkling wine has been taking the world by storm as it aligns perfectly with our cooler climate and chalky terroir. These grapes were harvested in late October 2019 from the south facing slopes of the North Downs. The grapes were pressed whole bunch and fermented in our winery in Fulham. Once bottled the wine was then aged on lees for two years providing a wonderful depth of yeasty goodness, brioche and toasted notes. The colour is pale gold, the nose layered with rich toasty notes and zesty fruit, the palette dry and aromatic with firm freshness. Enjoy as an apéritif, with seafood or for a slightly offpiste pairing try alongside spicy cuisine.
