Hush Heath Balfour The Red Miller (Wine Makers collection) 2018
Hush Heath's Red Miller is the English red wine that won the International Wine Challenge Gold medal award. It has been created from a single parcel of beautifully ripe Pinot Meunier harvested from the superb 2018 harvest. The result is this award winning delicate and aromatic English red wine.
Ruby - garnet in colour, this wine has enjoyed a brief sojourn in French and American barrels. Smokey , mulberry and blackberry fruits on the nose, the tannis are soft and balanced with raspberry and redcurrant on it's youthful palate.
Usually the ‘quiet partner’ in classic sparkling blends, rarely seen as a still red anywhere in the World this is certainly a first for English wines. A short three-day fermentation on the skins, was followed by full malolactic in stainless steel and a brief sojourn in French and American oak barrels.
The result is a delicate and aromatic red wine, mulberry and Blackberry fruits on the nose, the tannins are soft and balanced with raspberry, red currant and spice on its youthful palate. An English red wine that is robust enough to be paired with food and enjoyed on it's own.
As with so many English red wines supply and demand are not matched, so be sure to secure this English red wine for your seller whilst stocks last.
