Denbies Litmus Red Pinot
A clear and even light cherry red colour throughout. Soft smooth aromas of red berries the wine displays fresh raspberry, plum and clove characters on the nose, balanced with lightly earthy notes some oak texture. Hints of classic cool climate Pinot Noirs of fresh delicate berries also come through. The palate is elegant and rich with pronounced red berries and depth, underpinned by earthy spiciness. Light body with enough weight and soft tannins to add dimension to this wine.
The wine has spent 17 months in one to three year old French oak barriques prior to bottling. Will age well and reward the patient collector. The 2014 growing season was sensational for Denbies and the result is this beautifully crafted English red wine.
