Petticoat Lane is London Cru's first 'Pet-Nat' - an English sparkling white wine made from Pinot Gris grapes grown in West Sussex. This English sparkling wine has been created to be crisp, zesty and incredibly moreish- an English sparkling wine to be enjoyed young and fresh.
Zesty lime & pear aromatics, completely dry with a very crisp finish.
The last stage of fermentation was completed in bottle which naturally brings the fizz.
The most exuberant of the 2019 Summer release is a small run of 'very fun, very lively' Pétillant Naturel Pinot Gris. This English sparkling wine brings zesty lime & pear aromatics, is completely dry and has a very crisp finish.
After the yeast has finished fermentation, they fall to the bottom of the bottle to form a fine sediment. You can either chill the wine standing up and pour it in a smooth motion without disturbing this lees (fine sediment), or mix it up and enjoy the yeasty goodness to their max. This wine is intended to have some cloudiness and is one of the oldest ways sparkling wines have been made – hand crafted in London.
