Litmus Red Pinot Noir 2018

2018 was widely seen as the best growing season for wine in England and from this superb vintage Litmus has produced an English re wine to rival the very best.  Made from 100% Pinot Noir that was cold soaked prior to fermentation and spent 19 months in one to five year old French barriques prior to bottling.

Cherry red with a vibrant translucency the wine displays soft and smooth aromas of raspberry, sweet beetroot and clove characters.
The palate is elegant and rich , under pinned by an earthy smooth spiciness with a long  pleasing finish. 
A light body with enough weight, balance and soft tannins to add dimension to this superb English red wine that will pair well with Lamb, Duck and is equally good on it's own.

One of Englands finest red wines that  will gain complexity with ageing and reward the patient collector.
